10 years since Prince's Induction Into RRHOF It's ten years to the day (March 15) since Prince was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame and gave one of the most intense performances of his career when he played "While My Guitar Gently Weep" with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Dhani Harrison, Jim Capaldi and Steve Ferrone. His guitar solo is career defining, it changed many people's perceptions of Prince from being a legendary pop star to being a Guitar God to those discovering his guitar musicianship. Not to mention the ten minute set he played with his own band preceding his induction.
From there, he never looked back. Anybody have any memories about this time period? 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

i remember that night well - went ot nyc to see the show after at club black ..
when i got to nyc i strolled the streets of nyc and i kinda ended up at the Waldorf right around 6 pm (the club black show wasnt until midnight ) - - and saw robert plant getting out of his limo and waving to fans .... and then tom petty too ..... little did i know that they were taping the hall of fame show that night and then not showing what happened for like 2 weeks (til it aired on the network).
the Club Black show was a great experience for me ... had a great view of the first "Musicology" show that I saw ... unfortunately about half way thru i started feeling ill and i went to the back bar to sit down and listen ... as i was sitting next to a bar - Paul SHaffer walked by to get a drink ... it was a wild night with alot of celebrities in the audience ... Colonel Angus may be smelly. colonel angus may be a little rough . but deep down ... Colonel angus is very sweet.

Why is it that some people don't think a person is successful or important unless they are selling millions? So what if he's not selling like he did in '84? That doesn't make him a nobody! Have you been asleep for the last few months? There are countless RAVE reviews on the shows he's doing, the interview with Arsenio and his appearance on New Girl.. people are still very interested in Prince and having his name attached to a project means instant success (as shown in the huge ratings jump on both Arsenio and New Girl) To me, that says anything but "Nobody"! Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! Uhh!
