Y'know what vault song would be perfect for 3EG? Cosmic Day
Yo, Prince - get right on that, huh? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Co-freaking-sign.
I must have listened to the clip a thousand times. [Edited 3/6/14 8:43am] |

It just boggles my mind that he puts out crap like Pretzelbodylogic while jewels like Cosmic Day gather dust. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I like Pretzelbodylogic actually.
But it's no Cosmic Day. |

how about Empty Room, I wish he would release a recorded version with 3EG on Plectrum Electrum

The Hard To Get 1981 version would be an even better song for 3rd Eye Girl. Has that early 80's pure rock sound that Prince is striving for. __________________________________________________

A keyboard replaced by guitar rework of "Heaven" and "Witness 4 the prosecution".

First, Pretzelbodylogic is not crap, it's a funky song, and second, Cosmic Day and that whole group of songs is from another era, and I'd file that under "things Prince doesn't do 30 years later." Try 2014. You might like it.

Computer Blue would be rather interesting too I think, especially the breakdown part with "Fathers Song" guitar motif. Imagine him and Donna sharing that bit... Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Wow, that's the first time I have heard the term 'noob' in a really long time.Do people really still attack others on this basis?Hilarious.

Maybe one of the other threads discussing songs 3rdeyegirl should play? I'd have thought such an experienced orger would check for duplicates before posting. RIP

'Ronnie talk to Russia' would be apt at this point in time! Just drop the'Ronnie' and add a 'Barack'! Interviewer: What's it like to be the greatest guitarist in the world?
Clapton: I don't know, you'd better ask Prince

Ya'll pissed on them. And Honey-baby, I just rejoined under this profile name, which I've had since the laste 90s. I'm no noob, but apparently you are to trifle with me. And I wouldn't be commenting in the first place if this comment hadn't been uttered. (See the comment in my signature line right below.)

And I say this because I happen to like Pretzel... a lot, plus Wendy and Lisa played on this song in a way no one else could. But let I get this straight. Cuz I'm a "noob," that means I don't get to point out truth when I see it?

Guys, stop.
No revisiting the vault to pull out tracks UNTIL AFTER they release Plectrumelectrum, please.
Otherwise we'll never get the dang thing.

Glad to. I just know that some orgers like to keep everybody in place according to their dictates, and I generally don't stay silent with people like that anymore.

If you add the npg horn section to the mix I'd like to hear The Line and Rebirth of the Flesh from this group. Mutiny was pretty funky on Arsenio. 1 over Jordan...the greatest since

I just purchased a few Prince vinyls at an auction. Clearly, I show the symptoms of an addict, spending money to get the purple flow going. Could/Should have used that money more wisely. But I I am so extremely happy with my Prince junk! 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I personally know the guy that arranges the horn parts and leads the section from our days together back in Dallas - his name is Phil Lassiter and you can follow him on http://philliplassiter.com Called him the next morning and told him he was on his game that night!
