PRINCE HAS ONLY 4 GRAMMYS? WHAT THE F**K AM I THE ONLY PERSON WHO IS AMAZED THAT PRINCE AS ONLY WON 4 GRAMMYS IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER?
...when you see norah jones(who is good and talented but a bit of a one trick pony) win 8 grammys in one year, what the hell are these people on, cant they hear great music or what. christ even the all time classic album "sign o the times" won zitch awards. amazing. at least the uk record industry have given him the best overseas artist a record 7 times which is only right. come on america! | |

If Grammy's were given based on talent, creativity, and artistic originality...I'd be outraged and protesting...but since they are given soley based on how many units are sold...it doesn't bother me...because I already know the masses aren't enlightened enough to buy a unit if they don't hear it in heavy rotation. Norah Jones was a safe, boring choice for Grammy voters. She's playing lounge music.
Alicia Keys is another one who shouldn't have been given as many Grammy awards as she got for one album. There's such a lack of talent these days that a girl playing a piano is hailed as the greatest even though her music and singing is just okay. Prince has stepped on way too many toes in the industry to get any more major awards. He's not going to get anything more until he signs a contract at a major label. Notice how a few years ago the Soul Train Awards had to back down from giving Prince the "Artist of the Decade" award. They had to backtrack and make Prince share the award with Whitney Houston. | |

Have a huge promotion push with the album including world tours, interviews, and loads of videos, or put out a half-decent innofensive middle-of-the-road album in a year with only really poor albums as competition. | |
