There's a Prince song called "Train". Is that the one you're thinking of?
It was originally supposed to appear on "Dream Factory", but was later given to Mavis Staples. |

Hmm yeah, just listened to it and it sort of sounds like Another Boy type Prince pop. Staccato up stroke, reggae like guitar rhythm.
Hannah on lead vocals but Prince is definitely doing the multi-layered "ooh-ooh-oohs" between the verses Lyrics: (Ooh-ooh-ohhh-ooh-wah) I just can't get to sleep, Feels like a couple of weeks I've been tryin' The sound of this train is keep', Keepin' everybody from hearing me cryin' Cos with every other beat of my heart I know that we should never be apart, And Perhaps this (something) by dawn(?)
