Dont know about those for myself. Mine would be
15. i like it there 14. live 4 love 13. wall of berlin 12. the morning papers 11. endorphine machine 10. shhh 9. dolphin 8. thunder 7. colonized mind 6. dreamer 5. eye hate u 4. peach 3. sexy mf 2. my name is prince 1. 7
number 15 was a tossup between i like it there, insatiable, the holy river and money dont matter so that would change depending on my mod for that day. The others are hands down my favorites

Well, obviously not the same as I'd come up with (and I assume that while they say post-80s, they really mean post-first name change, or after Prince got mad at WB, or after Prince stopped having hits, or something, since nothing's included pre-Come).
"Dionne" and "The Marrying Kind" are two I'm really fond of, though, and I rarely see them getting mentioned, so I like those choices.

Exactly.
This list rather looks like an april fool than a serious list from some1 that has a clue.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
according to anyone who follows music these days, nobody reads rolling stone anymore
Dionne? | |

Nobody's going to agree on this list, 15 is too difficult to narrow down to. Change it one more time..

really bizarre, random list. * * *

i like several of the choices on the list. i'm just glad it may get some folks diggin' into his back catalogue and even getting the hint to him that ppl know stuff beyond the hits. but no Space, Pheremone but Loose? I like the track but its not better than those, and I'dve liked to see them include some Lotus tracks. Should've been a list of 20 or 25!

ahh what the hell
15? impossible.
But here goes:
7 The Morning Papers And God Created Woman Space Pheromone Shhh The One She Loves Me 4 Me The Last December Reflection Love 3121 F.U.N.K. Dreamer Colonized Mind
* * *

These are all good picks.. although I'd chose the title track Come with Space rather than Pheromone. And The Dance rather than 3121 Change it one more time..

Their list is as random as any of ours.
I'll give it a shot:
Joy in Repitition Question of U Crystal Ball Acknowledge Me When The Lights Go Down 7 The Love We Make What Do U Want Me To Do? Somewhere Here on Earth Dreamer Willing & Able Endorphinmachine Days of Wild (live) Same December Da Bang The Word $ Still Would Stand All Time In This Bed I Scream Chelsea Rogers Dream Factory Love Billy Jack Bitch Wall of Berlin Face Down 3121 A Million Days Supercute Elephants & Flowers
As some of these songs are really 80s songs but released post 80s I added a few more than 15

- WOO HOO, I co-wrote #2. - There would never be anything even closely resembling a concensus among fans or critics for a list like this though. - -MBN

Someone must have been using the office dartboard. It's just so random isn't it? Some definite Yeses on there, but it's such an odd selection of songs! [Edited 2/27/14 22:14pm]

This. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

Much kudos to you sir. Love that track.

What a difference twenty years makes. Pretty sure Loose was lambasted at the time as being cheesy and out of touch, not "forward thinking". I can imagine more of this type of article as we leave 80s nostalgiaville and his 90s work is reappraised.

15 songs since the name change? We can't agree on a single disc Emancipation so there's no way anyone here would come up with a list that even one person agrees with. Everything is so personal and subjective.

Meh. Any list without Pussy Control is a fail to me. "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

I always loved the horn part on that one and it's one of the best tracks on the album even if the lyrics are a bit Michaeljacksonian-the press-is-out-to-get-me! But that's not your fault of course. Also like to see Dionne in the list, another forgotten gem. But When Lay My Hands on U also belongs in the list!

I agree with Dinner With Dolores, and certainly Dione and Somewhere here on Earth, but the rest are very WTF

Van Gogh When The Lights Go Down When I Lay My Hands On U Empty Room PFunk Let It Go (Sherm Stick Edit Instrumental) Wasted Kisses What Do U Want Me 2 Do? Strays of the World Soul Sanctuary Joy in Repitition Question of U Beautiful Strange Octopus Heart From The Lotus/Boom/Crimson & Clover
There's more I could add, but that is what you call a "deep tracks" list.

I'd say the horns are the best part of BJB, so a big thumbs up to MrMoops on that one. And I'm glad someone else likes Dionne.

I know it's all opinion, bit this list just seems so random. The oddest inclusion for me - So Far So Pleased.
