Do you Love or like Prince? I guess I'm asking because this is certainly not a Michael Jackson forum where you get the sense that everyone on there LOVES Michael Jackson.
Just wondering your degrees of love or liking for an aspect of prince and/or his music. | |

I've been into his music for 25 years. I admire him for his musical and songwriting skills, I love to see him perform, I love (most of) his music, but I've never met him in person, so I can't say anything about Prince the man. Does that answer your question?

There has to be a different word.. Love in use of someone I don't know, because he is a superstar is hard 4 me to use. I have love for him like I do for any human being, I can't love him more because he is a superstar. I have Great appreciation for him as an artist and musician though, I'm a huge fan.

I love how his music makes me feel. I love the general vibe of his message. I love him as much as a human loves humans in general. But by no means do I LOVE him. He IS damn cool tho.  | |

I'm a fan of his music and enjoy following his career overall, through the good and bad. I have no personal feelings for him personally outside of the impression he gives with his public persona but wish him well as I do all fellow human beings on this planet at the ass-end of the Universe. | |

Love it that I have so many fantastic experiences of his concerts, moments when I listened to his music and wonderful purple people I met.
I don't know him personally, but I think that I would like him if I would meet him. 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%. | |

Yup, definitely a different kind of fan base than MJs, or many other artists'. Or maybe the fawning fanatical ones just don't visit the org? Where are the ones swooning over his pics and declaring how they'd have sex with him on a trapeze or something?? (That was a real thread!) :lol: Anyway, I love "him" in the way that people say, "I love Tchaikovsky" meaning his body of work as an artist. It's a figure of speech called a synedoche. | |

Love Prince like I Love most humans (with the exception of scumbags-molesters etc.). I am in Love with Prince *music, it doesn't matter what piece is playing, it just puts me in a good mood.
