Funny, I remember nearly posting this when I first listened to the Solitude Standing Live CD....

All I'd say is that Suzanne Vega seemed less bothered about it than most people on here!

For once, I think you're all being a bit harsh on Bart.

His personal opinion aside, the point here is that he's given us information on where Prince was on a specific date whic we didn't know before.

Well, yes, that HAS been the burning question for the last 27 years--just where was Prince on July 15, 1987 anyway?!?!...

Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

If you're going to diss Prince, at least tell the story right. It was Kevin Smith who decided he didn't need to say good-bye to Prince. He told Prince's assistant not to interrupt him at whatever he was doing - that he was just going to slip out because it was Father's Day and his family (Kevin's) was waiting for him. It was after he left that he decided, "Well, yeah, maybe I should say good-bye." But when he went back into PP, he was told that Prince was working and couldn't be disturbed. Maybe if he'd gone to say good-bye right away, Prince would have thanked him. shrug
