Plectrum Electrum Album Info In Mojo

Some info on the Mojo interview about PlectrumElectrum. Please excuse me if it has already been posted.
.
Article discusses him now and through different parts of his career etc, whilst discussing new album which they were played in entirety but I don't think they reference every track. Briefly:-
.
WOW - Led Zepesque instrumental described as heaviest thing he's ever done.
.
WHITECAPS - elegant ballad with a transcendental quality
.
Then describes 'rest of album rattles by stopping off at sweet, girl-group style pop, pure bass driven funk, heart felt balladry and plenty of soulful, Hendrix-like guitar squealing. It's considered and cohesive, with a joyful spirit running through every song..feels gloriously live because that's exactly how 3RDEYEGIRL came together.
.
FIXURLIFEUP - anthem of empowerment with Sign 'O' The Times like lyrical undertow of apocalyptic morality.
.
TICTACTOE - gentle ballad with hazy layers of over lapping sounds Prince says is inspired by the Cocteau Twins.
.
FUNKNROLL - energised free-flowing groove that captures the spirit of Prince in 2014 - virtuosic but spontaneous, fun but deadly serious

So it sounds like WOW is not The Unexpected. Different track (or could it still be Prince's instrumental version of the Liv track?)
Just somewhere in the middle,

On twitter the interviewer says it will be released in March. Whether it will be is another matter I suppose

What I'm wondering is how many songs are on it? There should be between 15-20 because we've had to wait so long.

Excited and worried, too.

It would be cool if Plectrum Electrum were a double disc release. The Plectrum disc being the jazzier more laid back slower tunes (r and r love affair, groovvy potential, the breakdown) The Electrum being the more hard hitting "rockers" etc....

I'm pretty sure it's going to be the usual 12 song, total running time no more than 45 mins. As for length of songs, Pretzelbodylogic, Funknroll and Fixurlifeup are all between 3:00 and 3:45 more or less. Plectrum Electrum (considering the live version) would be around 4:30. Marz at Sheperd's Bush lasted for less than 3 minutes.

Hopefully I'm wrong and we get some 6/7 mins jams on it...And a total running time of at least 1 hour...

For me, if a song is too short, it can really affect how much i enjoy it. Some songs require a short running time for artistic reasons, but when "fun" jam/groove type songs are too short it really marks the song down. All the songs, so far, from PE have been far too short. If FunkNRoll has a similar running time it will be huge disappointment for me.

I have zero problem with the song...but for me, I cringe whenever a journalist has an interview with Prince right before an album is released, and that journalist ends up comparing the new stuff to any of the Prince classics. It's like they're trying too hard to write something complimentary about the song lol...makes me not trust the rest of their critique.

Besides, you'll never find an entertainment journalist have the sole interview with someone of Prince's stature, and then in the write-up say "By the way, the new album blows" lol...
