I may be a bit late on this topic, but I was wondering if anyone out there knows the backwards message Prince is singing and playing guitar to on Sheila E.'s "Shortberry Strawcake." I know he mentions something about "last night I had a dream..." but I can't make out the rest. If anyone knows, please hit me back. Thanks!

I don't think it's backwards, just distorted. The only think I THINK I can make of all of it is "is (or it's) wicked".

Oh no. It's definatetly backwards. I recorded it and then reversed it on my PC's sound recorder. It's a message, but I just can't make it out. He also sings something like "we made love until..." Damnit, I wish I knew!

You did A LOT better then me. I just listened to it in reverse and didn't understand a damn thing that was said. The snare kept getting in the way. Have you checked CalhounSquare.org yet? Nevermind I'll do it.
