i really hope the album is just the rock oriented tracks he has cut with the girls - i want the prince solo joints (e.g. Rnr, Breakdown, groovy, breakfast etc) to be on a seperate prince album (hopefully to come later).
I like the simplicity of a 9 or 10 track heavy rock album. keep it simple P!

Personally always thought the perfect number of songs for an album was 12 (ie a little more than old LPs which were usually arounf 9-10 but less than the bloated allowance of a 70-80 mins CD that had 16 or so) 'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything. | |

Can't stand screwdriver tbh. The clip I heard of Pretzel didn't sound like my cuppa tea. I've heard good things about FunkNRoll tho so fingers crossed. I'm actually really looking forward to this album being released. I love funknroll best. Only heard it live, so I'm hoping the studio version is going to live up to its live version. I wasnt too keen on breakfast can wait at first but I've warmed up to it | |

I also liked hearing Funknroll live, especially the guitar towards the end, but I feel a studio version might not capture the same energy. Plus, I love how Prince danced when he performed it. Hundalasiliah! |

Doent the MOJO article state that the album was basically recorded live in the studio with a few overdubs? To my ears, which I admit are somewhat aged, Screwdriver and PBL do not sound like live studio recordings at all. Maybe the album has different versions? |
