Was Prince's version of 'The Unexpected' played last night on the pa system? I was at fridays manchester gig, and before they came on they played what seemed to be Princes version of the song he wrote for liv w. I couldnt make it out completely due to noise , people talking etc, did anyone else on hear make this out? |

Is it exactly the same as Liv's The Unexpected but with Prince's vocals, or different instrumentation and Prince's vocals? |

dont wanna blow my own trumpet, but it was me that picked up that the unexpected and Wow might be the same song, just with prince on vocals for Wow. anyhow we might find out when Plectrum Electrum is released! |

it sounds different to me. i've heard liv's version a few times and prince's version twice
dunno if it's the track wow, but i thought that wow was a led zep sounding instrumental according to mojo or something. it does have wow in the lyrics so could confuse people. but the story was that liv was going to call her album unexpected but had no track of that name, and prince wrote that track for her ala shockadelica. so calling it wow sounds strange
