I think Prince should have been higher....14th? [Edited 2/19/14 15:36pm] "A united state of mind will never be divided

I am either missing the sarcasm or am completely receptive of the stupidity.
Prince, a musician, makes a movie that is considered the 14th best movie of the entire decade, and that isn't good enough? [Edited 2/19/14 15:52pm] this message brought to you by logic.

I'm surprised Purple Rain is so high to be honest. And the fact that Blue Velvet isn't in the list (and not in the top 5) tells though that the list is a joke. Change it one more time..

Personally, I prefer Fargo.

A lot of the films are great, the list is lame though. The Goonies? That high up? Really? GTFOH with that shit. Same goes for The Outsiders and most of the Teen Flicks. The only teen flick that deserves to be ont the list is Ferris Buellers Day Off. That one is top ten foprp sure.

Garbage list even for that kiddie fashion rag. But what do you expect from a publication that glorifies the Boston Marathon bomber? Unbelievable.

I love Fargo also, but it was made in 1996... "A united state of mind will never be divided

I just expected it to be higher compared to The Goonies.... "A united state of mind will never be divided

I had also hoped that "The Pope of Greenwich Village" would had made the list... "A united state of mind will never be divided

It's a readers poll, not a critics poll. That's why John Hughes films make up damn near half the list and Raging Bull is nowhere to be seen lol...

Well, that makes a little more sense...barely.

O.K. list. Couple of complaints...

I take extreme exception to at least half of these movies being labeled "great" - including Purple Rain. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

It is basically a list of top 25 American teen and popcorn action movies of the 80s though, not greatest movies of a decade. Not that I don't like a lot of 'em, just sayin' - it's Rolling Stone and probably written by a 24 year old.

This list sucks ass. | |

Well, I think PR was great for the time. It was a totally unexpected project from Prince. Alot of people still didn't know him in 84, so for this movie to hit pop culture was very significant. "A united state of mind will never be divided
