BBC Radio 4 - Prince and women - discussion

Part of BBC Radio 4's 'Woman's Hour' today featured a discussion on 'Prince and women'

http://www.bbc.co.uk/prog...s/b03vh0c4

"... does Prince empower women, or does he use his feminine image and female collaborators just to further his success?

"Jenni [Murray] speaks to Professor Sarah Niblock, lecturer at Brunel University and author of Prince: The Making of a Pop Music Phenomenon."

This was the work that Professor Sarah Niblock co-authored:

'Woman's Hour' programmes are available to download as a podcast for up to 30 days after broadcast, although there might be some restrictions for non UK residents?

I expect the download link will be published for today's broadcast very shortly

Fantastic piece of radio. Really considered. Thank you.

Promisingly I'd also have to say that 'Fix ur life up' doesn't sound too out of place inbetween Raspberry Beret and Kiss, in the opening mix..

"London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"

"YEAH!!!"

"Yeah, well then fuck those other fools!"

I liked the analysis.

And I agreed with them.

Prince stepped up the plate and showed his feminist side.

Makes me proud and I'm absolutely glad he did.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.
