I think he needs to continue doing what he's doing as the Prince of the 'right now', making new music, working/collaborating with new artists/established artists that are currently not being recognized by the music industry. He has already achieved success as a famous musician, and became a household name, while working with many musicians/artists of the 80s, who were part of his band. Many of whom were given the opportunity to shine with him musically and on stage, during the 80s/90s eras, and becoming part of his legacy, with recognizable names today to many Prince fans. I don't see the 80s Prince era ever returning to what it once was of course, because it has already lived out its time, including its introduction of the Minneapolis sound which was a sound, that revolutionized music, at the time. I think even if there was a reunion with some or all of the Pre-Revolution/Revolution/Lovesexy/Sign of the Times band members today, it would be for fans' memories sake.

the Roadhouse Garden music needs to be released in the way it should (those songs were obviously written/created with the Revolution) I'd rather Prince finally do it as he also wanted to do it in the late 1990s (1999?) than for something to happen to Prince and that music get released by someone else and add their own twist to it, profitting from it...

What he needs more than anything is a real manager.

One with Prince, Gayle Chapman (yes she plays guitar) Wendy Melvoin,

Lisa Coleman on paino, a touch of Clare Fischer(his son with some orchestra piece) maybe Novi Novog on (viola)

I would love to see him perform with Novi the way he does with someone playing a guitar

I assume his fondness for cottaging probably put a stop to any hopes of a reunion of sorts there.

That quote was on the Purple Rain tour book? Interesting, I didn't know. I think it was Danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard who said that. Did Prince mention the authorship of the sentence? If not, he deserves to be sued!
