That is horrible. The album is already flawed for me because it will contain those few seconds of horrible shouting.

Sounds promising...I kind of like it when he does the unexpected, those acapella voices sounded quite an original idea for an intro...the overall sound reminds me slightly of DMSR

Reckon this will be a good album to play in the car out loud, let's hope it sees the light of day...

I liked pretty much all of the 3rd eye stuff so far, but I'm more looking forward to the NPG music, the Big city clip got me excited for that.

The first 18 seconds of "Eye No" don't indicate at all how the song is gonna sound.

For the record, I hate the bland female voice at the beginning of "Eye No" lol...love the song, though.

That was way back when his b-sides and fillers were in better quality than everybody else's very best. He treads water a lot more now.

Luckily, bonnie184 posted a thread titled "New song on iTunes," since I would have never checked this misleadingly titled thread again, since it has been up for a week and is about the snippet that was released, not the full track.

Sadly, as is becoming more and more common on here, a moderator locked that thread and called it a duplicate. It's increasingly more difficult to get information on here about what's going on with Prince, because everything has to be jammed into one looooooooong thread, even when it's not about strictly the same thing.

As for the full song, it's certainly better than the snippet would have suggested...but along with Fixurlifeup, it definitely makes me much less excited about the upcoming 3rdeyegirl album. Very much ready for him to move on to something more musically interesting and less reliant on pretty but average musicians.

thread is an actual update to a new song being available. come on now.

but hey, once the new album is released i'm sure a certain mod will find

a way to keep it from the homepage until about week 12 or so. but now

What I find harder to understand is that the NEw Girl discussion thread and the listening party thread are now both in the concerts forum...

btw I have heard only the 1:30 preview (actually the track is not selled in Italy). It seems to me quite generic rock-sound.

Loveing it

Finally hearing the song, and I am tripping!!! Vibe-wise I am getting the impression of a hybrid of "Dreamer" and "Laydown" -- head-banging rock and nasty funk at the same time. This song makes FIXURLIFEUP seem tame by comparison. Good Lord...if the whole Plectrum Electrum album sounds like this, my head will explode from an overload of awesomeness! Based on what's here, I think the album is gonna be something of a "Lotusflow3r Reloaded" type experience...to which I say, "BRING IT ON!"
