His Royal Badass PRINCE is planning to return to LA in a BIG way in 2014! For the 30th Anniversary of his mega-hit movie and Soundtrack album PURPLE RAIN, Prince is planning several huge shows at the newly remodeled Fabulous Forum in Inglewood. The Forum was home to the Los Angeles Lakers for many years and a top flight concert venue for artists like Elton John, The Stones and The Who.

Prince has been rehearsing with a crack band in his hometown of Minnesota and many of the original players from 1984 will return to the stage, including singers Wendy and Lisa and Prince’s stalwart and highly sexy sax player, Candy Dulfer. Prince has also been planning some very “secret” shows at the legendary Whisky A Go-Go, on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip. The Whisky has been host to some of rock music’s greatest bands including The Doors, Led Zeppelin, and Guns ‘N Roses.

Prince has been playing clubs in Minnesota to tune up for the LA shows, which will also be part of a U.S. tour. Prince hasn’t played LA for a few years and word is from his camp that “he’s itching to get back on the road and solidify his legacy with a younger audience.”

“Why should all these kids (today) think that Michael Jackson was the only hot singer in the ’80s? There were a few of us out there!” joked Prince to a Rolling Stone journalist recently.
