I don't even slightly understand the purpose of posting, say, a one-and-a-half minute snippet of "Something in the Water" (or any other song, for that matter). I can't think of ANY artist who posts song snippets. I would honestly rather him not post anything, because those snippets just make me realize how uninteresting he has become, musically and artistically. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

As I said, to me it's teasers 4 the shows but yeah, it's quite ridiculous: he's got so many different takes of so many different songs that he could post them in their entirety without spoiling the shows but hell... 2013 was managed so poorly I lost track of what stuff I already bought from 3rd eye girl and what was new. It didn't help matters when he released a "new" single (breakfast can wait) that was really a couple of months old. I ended up stop buying the track at a time releases untol the promised album(s?) came out that should have had the songs. It was the first time in 30 years I didn't buy every single thing he released as soon as it was available. I also looked forward to the promised concert video.
It's 2014, Prince hasn't released an album in the US since 2009. Yet here I am still checking prince.org several times a week looking for any news on an album or concert. I haven't seen Prince in concert in a decade. I never expected him to go so long without a real US tour or so long without a US album release.
Prince has to be the worst marketer ever. Instead of Underpromise and Overdeliver, which leaves happy customers, He consistently does the opposite. [Edited 1/23/14 10:43am] |

All tracks that was released last year(rehearsals, new singles,the 3rdeyetv tracks, remixes) should be available on his boring website.There's a few tracks I tottaly missed last year and I can't bother tracking them down, they should just be available at one place. Welcome 2 The Dawn | |
