I would like to hear him do some Annie Lennox:

Why
Precious
Primitive
There Must Be An Angel Playing With My Heart
Miracle of Love
Last Time
You Have Placed A Chill In My Heart
Shame

Those are all good picks.

Others that I think might work are:

I Remember You
Brand New Day
When the Day Goes Down
Here Comes the Rain Again
Satellite of Love (though it's not Annie's originally)

Probably not now, you're right. Most of these he'd probably not do. But the guitar in "Time" has always reminded me of Prince circa 1984. I would love to hear Bowie cover Prince as well. The possibilities are limitless.

Billie Jean. Seriously. He did a snippet of it with Maceo at the Seattle soundcheck. I think he could really funk it up.

I've always wanted him to cover the Beatles' "Taxman" but
that would not be an odd choice. In fact, back in 1995 it
would have been a perfect choice. He could have worked
that guitar solo so well it would have been amazing.

I guess an odd choice would probably be something like
"Sunday Morning" by The Velvet Underground & Nico or
hey, perhaps even "Take a Walk on the wild Side" by
Lou Reed. I'd like to hear Prince work those tunes.

And just for kicks, I would like him to try and work the
Cure's "A Forrest" during a soundcheck with all the lights
down. I wonder what he would do with that song.

How about Redbone's "Come and get your love?" I know this isn't an "odd" choice, but I would love for Prince to cover some Sly & the Family Stone, particularly "If you want me to stay" or "Stand."

I think the man would really kill it if he did a cover of American Skin(41 shots) by Bruce Springsteen, I always believed it would suit Prince´s style and also some of Janet Jackson ballads like When we oooh or Making love in the rain, what do u think??
