Prince mailing it in? Of course he's not Britney who Is lip synching her way through Las Vegas... I just saw prince in the last concert at Mohegan sun ct (see review in concerts section). Cheapest seats were $125 but empty seats on the $195 section allowed us to slide Over. Between Shelby, Doug e fresh, this other female backup Singer, And the horns, there wasn't as much prince as I've seen in the past.. Maybe I'm getting old, and my expectations are too high One thing I'll say is Hannah ford is a very tight drummer

I'm comparing this to the musicology tour. And yes something in the water was good. And prince had a good laugh when he said that he was Once called the most beautiful Girl in the world. The sound last night was just so so, and prince deferred to the other musicians and Doug e fresh a bit too much for my liking [Edited 12/30/13 8:06am]

With a 22 piece backing band comprised of New Power Generation and 3RD EYE GIRL, an oud player and Doug E. Fresh, Prince might as well bring Pepe Willie, Tony M and bring back Chaka and Larry. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

Exactly. The entire arena was on their feet. It was a dance party for about 40 minutes. Loved it. The energy in the place was amazing. Doug E turned the place into a nightclub scene. I wasn't paying attention to any boring person around me though, because all around was up on their feet having a great time.

Wel, if we're going to almost over-do stuff then YES stuff gets interestijng again. When/where will those gigs be? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Exactly my point of view.. Prince is so predictable these past 15 years or so. If not longer. And I mean as a live act... "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

He should tour less ! And be more creative and fun again. "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

He's touring!? No, those few gig here and there have no plan, no vision, no nothing behind them other than an immediate need for cashflow and/or maybe 'testing the new band'. No tour as it was in the old days: whenever there was a good reason to go on the road. (e.g. new album, movie, etc) Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
