Current live version of 1999...too horny? ...and by horny I'm not talking Pony's. What's your feeling on the current live version of 1999 he is performing? Personally, I can't get in to it at all. Far too many horns playing little flutters and ad-libs leaving the traditonal groove that drives this classic to drown in the background. 1999 should always be played with synths in my opinion. Horns just do not do the song justice and it ends up losing it's punch. Your thoughts? | |

I like the horns in the song. Aside from the original, not a big fan of the synth part live. Goes back to the Lovesexy Tour when he was closing the show with 1999 and the amazing horn section he had then. And now.
