Yeah, it has to be a software or hardware issue since the rest of us don't have this problem.

Could be that their file got corrupted in the meantime, though, and that anyone downloading it now would face the same problem.

I indeed suggest playing it on another player or even computer, and if the problem persists then sending an email to the website to signal there's an issue with the file. Now of course whether they answer emails or play it Lotusflow3r.com-style is another issue

Yes...Groovy Potential was a WAV file and it plays fine I think 3rdeyegirl got a bad file

Wasn't this one of the tracks released in the weird bitrate that not all players can wrap their heads around?

transfer it to your computer and re-convert it into a standard WAV file or an mp3 or whatever. it will probably play just fine.

There were a few free tracks for download

I cant remember the full names but i think it was Octopuss heart & menstrual cycle?

These tracks had an odd bit rate, as you mentioned i had to "re-convert it into a standard WAV file"
Though i never had any problem playing them

Try re-conerting it to WAV sample rate 44100 hz - Bits per sample 16

place the file in a wav editor.
click SAVE AS. there should be an option to set the bit rate,etc


Just make sure you SAVE AS and not SAVE, if u save u will copy over your original file
This should only take u seconds to convert and save
