* In the Titanic, the musicians went down with the ship... Similar to what happened to The Revolution following UTCM.

* In the Titanic, there were too many life-boats that were let away with empty seats, so many lost their lives unnecessarily... Similar to what what happened to UTCM, when there were too many empty bums-on-seats in the cinemas, that many lost their careers unnecessarily.

* I heard there was also a deleted scene in the Titanic in which Jack was trying to teach Rose about the "wrecka steerage" (i.e., the record number of steerage passangers) they had in 3rd class. Cameron deleted this because it was clearly a blantant rip off UTCM's "wrecka stow" gag.

This is pretty ridiculous. Both UTCM, Titanic and countless other romantic dramas are derived from Romeo and Juliet. The idea of forbidden love against all the odds is an old old story.
