Remix of Black Sweat?

I've just heard a Prince mix and in it there was a remix of Black Sweat, really good, very much electronic (more than R&B) and modern-sounding. I thought "nice fanmixe" except that... the original music track can't be heard... It's just P's voice and the music track which is totally different from the released version. The mix is from a MPLS DJ at First Avenue in 2007 (can't post link as u know). So I don't get it: since AFAIK there's no circulating a capella version of the track how could it have received a profesionnal remix treatment? Could it be that this local DJ was given an unreleased remix? Princevault makes no mention of it.

I'm quite sure some of y'all have heard it already. Any one knows shit about this?

Was it the Versace mix version? That one was originally used during a Versace fashion show along with other Prince tracks.

You call it "electronic", which could describe that version too, although in some sense it's also funkier. I am under the impression that Prince himself did those remixes, although I could be wrong about that.

I have a vague recollection of DJ Rashida doing a mix that was unreleased...

I could be wrong about this, though. confused

The Push Pull remix of black Sweat is the best!
