Why are there so many? Seems every song has at least 2 or 3 versions and while Im asking are there any other versions of Diamonds & Pearls floating around? The original is my fav ever and I have the Special Olympics version

I guess he would do different versions of songs to have a choice of what to release. I need to hear that. It's interesting though that each new version of his songs that come out all have something unique about them that makes you like em

It took years to collect and add up. There is some great stuff out there some not so great

Well it's no big deal. U've got:

- The work-in-progress versions (sometimes circulating and sometimes even released).

- The album versions.

- The single and video edits.

- The extended versions and remixes.

- The live versions (released and boots).

- The rehearsals versions (released and boots).

Many Prince songs exist in only one version, though, but it's true that many have sometimes up to a dozen officially released versions, not even counting boots.

And I'd like to know why this crappy website keeps messing up with r posts by making the font small all of a sudden!

I'm getting very close to having everything as well, but still there are a few edits and versions that I haven't put my hands of. It's been 24 years in the making, I'd love to end-up having everything that's mentionned on my discography but I doubt I can.
