Prince is such an incredible dresser, with a sense of style unmatched by anyone anywhere IMO, that I cannot picture him in any movie role other than as basically himself.

I don't consider Lenny Kravitz a great actor but his role in Hunger Games suited him well. Much better in Catching Fire than the first movie. I could see Prince in that sort of flamboyant role. Ah .. the ole Prince would have played a gay man in a comedy well enough (I am reminded of the vibrator talk track) maybe as sandra bullocks sidekick in some wedding planner type cheesy movie .. and I could see him doing well as a pimp or generally sleazy character as well as even maybe some kind of ninja like superhero (thinking Tora Tora style with the face hidden mostly) Personally I think he has the acting chops. I really loved Under the Cherry Moon and don't mind Graffiti Bridge for what it is. It's too bad he got panned so bad with those because I think he had more potential then given credit at the time. Definitely more going on than say .. ahem .. Madonna or MJ

Maybe, but it's also possible he just looked up what show airs immediately after the Super Bowl and wanted to book it because it's good promotion - and he told the show that he's a fan of it just to be nice. I think "Glee" used to air right after the Super Bowl, and they did an extra-special show to make good use of the extra viewership. Would have been interesting if he had done "Glee," but he and some other artists (Kings of Leon?) hated that show, I think.

I think "New Girl" comes on Tuesday, not Sunday...

I love New Girl. Cute, fresh and genuinely funny show. That and Community are the only sitcoms I watch on the regular. Extremely cool that Prince will be on an episode. It's a great fit and an excellent idea for increasing his exposure. Last time I can remember seeing anything like this was when Stevie Wonder cameo'd on an episode of The Cosby Show (1986!).
