I really liked Zooey when I saw her in Yes Man with Jim Carrey. I missed this episode. I will watch it in the Fox website. If I like the show, I will buy season 3 on DVD once it is available. Prince has a butterfly pet? How cute... Based on the promo clips, I think I am gonna like this episode.

TV Ratings: Super Bowl Episodes of 'New Girl,' 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Draw Big AudiencesUPDATED: "New Girl" becomes the top-rated Big Four scripted telecast in three years, averaging 25.8 million viewers and an 11.1 rating among adults 18-49, while "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" sees obvious dips in the second half-hour.Fox
Sunday's Super Bowl XLVIII, on track to be the smallest showing since 2010, still gave a hefty boost to Fox's chosen lead-out for this year's game: New Girl and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. New Girl posted the best post-Super Bowl ratings for a scripted show since Fox last had the game and aired Glee in 2011. Adjusted ratings for the sitcoms give New Girl 25.8 million viewers and an 11.1 rating among adults 18-49. That's up 42 percent in the demo and 23 percent among viewers from last year's Super Bowl follow-up,Elementary. CBS saw that episode air much later than normal on account of the game's blackout delay, averaging 20.86 million viewers and a 7.8 rating among adults 18-49. New Girl started a little earlier than anticipated, airing between 10:23 and 11:54 p.m. ET. The last time a sitcom aired after the Super Bowl was The Office in 2009, which averaged 22.9 million viewers for a one-hour episode. (The first half-hour averaged 27.2 million, dipping to 18.7 million in the second half.) As for Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the freshman show saw a predicted drop from the first half-hour of entertainment programming. The show, which aired between 10:54 and 11:25 p.m. ET, averaged 14.8 million viewers and a 6.7 rating among adults 18-49. The two shows averaged together came just shy of last year's one-hour outing ofElementary with 20.8 million viewers. Both comedies had the disadvantage of coming on the heels of a blowout game. This year's Super Bowl, which saw the Seattle Seahawks win 43-8, was the most lopsided one since 1993. Reality seems to remain the best bet after the Super Bowl. The 2012 episode of The Voiceaveraged 37.6 million, while CBS' Undercover Boss surged to 38.7 million in 2010. The Big Four race for runner-up proved expectedly lackluster. Unlike many cable networks, which had aggressive counterprogramming plans, ABC, CBS and NBC aired all repeats. All said, ABC took a very distant second place to Fox for the night with an average 0.7 rating among adults 18-49. The net was outperformed in total viewers by CBS, which pulled 3.9 million.
This will go well with Prince's Emmy nomination next year, for best guest starring role on a sitcom. It'll add to his already,Oscar,Golden Globe, 7V3N grammy's on the shelves @ Paisley Park..

I think he was good. Definitely not cringeworthy like I was worried he'd be. This show was a perfect place for Prince. This is an audience he can win over and a valuable demographic for him.

God, that was dumb as hell. Glad I went to bed in the thrid quarter.

Well, not sure how much "acting" was involved, i.e., he is himself, so he really would not need to "act." I thought it was appropriate to "him" and beyond that, he clearly knows about what the quirks that are online about him, as he addressed many! Great sense of humor to me, addressing his mysterious ways, how people are in awe of him, hypnotized by him, staring into his eyes, etc. The butterfly was a really cool touch and made me laugh. He has a sense of humor! The only LOVE there is, IS the LOVE WE MAKE ~ Prince

What was the purple rain joke? . . And what is the origin of the "pancake" mythos?

I REALLY tried to use my indoor voice while I was waiting for all the SuperBowl stuff to end. I was on my FB warbling with all the other Prince fam fans and then BAM....it was time. I really like the way everything panned out. Shoot, I want a daggone pet butterfly!
He was so beautiful and...I dunno...what's a good word...creamy.
He was creamy. (actually reserved and quirky would have been better, but his voice and that hair had me gone, gone, gone.)
I hit up tumblr for my gif fix today, updated my lil Princey file.
Rest of the show was dry as hell, tho. There's a reason I don't watch. I came for the Purple Yoda, loved him, and will not be watchin New Girl again LOL!!! I ain't been on the .org in a month o' Sundays. Lemme dust off my keyboard, baby!

Dayum that afro looked bad, molded almost square in some scenes. Whole show was hyped rubbish. Even Z is better than that. What's she doing?

Wow, you are not only a "badazz guitar player", you are also Captain Obvious. Wow, Prince looked younger 30 years ago... gee, who would have thunk it?
I thought the episode was fantastic. I mean, it's a sitcom. A 20 minute episode that incorporated Prince as a celebrity. What did you expect? I loved how he put down the ping pong racket and left miffed, after Cee smashed the ball back to him. [Edited 2/4/14 0:08am]

Prince has alot of charisma that saves it from being a disaster. If Prince gets rid of his a little bit awkward uncomfortable shyness that is shining through his eyes, he'd be a pretty good actor. If he could focus on the imagined situation more than his actual situation of being an actor in a studio, he'd do great. It's almost as i you can tell that he is thinking "can't wait for this to end, I'll get my cash, the attention and promotion I need, are we finished yet? Let's go!". finally saw it. Super uneven. Some bits were hilarious, others really awkward. Certainly no acting awards for this.
