Rita Ora teams with Prince for new album

Rita Ora has almost finished working on her new album and revealed she has been in the studio with pop icon Prince, as well as her boyfriend Calvin Harris and Gwen Stefani.

Rita Ora has been working with Prince for her new album.

The singer was in awe of the iconic pop star and revealed they have ''done some music together''.

She told The Sun newspaper: ''I have met him and I have had the honour of being in the same studio as him.

''We messed around with some music and you know, I can't believe he can play so many instruments.

''All I can say is that we've definitely done some music together.''

The 'How We Do (Party)' hitmaker is working hard on her follow-up to 2012 debut 'Ora' and has also teamed up with her DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris and Gwen Stefani.

There will be a heavy ''pop'' influence on the record, but Rita has promised she has written ''a lot of revealing'' tracks for the new album.

She added: ''I love pop music and I'm a pop singer, so it's just pop music with a lot more honesty in it.

''There are a lot of revealing lyrics in there.''

Fans might not have to wait long to hear the new full length after she revealed she's almost finished the album.

She said: ''It's so good, it's literally done. I've got a few things I want to tweak and then I'm done.''

Indeed, though he had her as a guest and that's different from him being co-writer/guest/producer/remixer on someone else's trip. What I like is having Prince on other's people records again smile There was Larry Graham last year, too, by the way smile

Eye wish he would have kept "Shoulda,Woulda, Coulda" 4 himself! He slays every slow jam he creates. Like he slayed Bria's half a million sold title cut debut "Helicksher" live ...

I figured she would have been overexposed on the radio by now. But so far, she hasn't had any hits. But... being with Calvin will probably change that.

They are so many ways to intepret "messed around on some music". Maybe, he just stopped by the session to be nice or supportive. Not calling her a liar, but the way the article phrased their meeting made it seem like Prince is definitely on the album.

there aren't many ways to interpret this though ''All I can say is that we've definitely done some music together.'' Seems like some of u refuse to accept that Prince actually worked with an artist like Rita Ora lol. Many people had that reaction in another post that maybe they just hanged out in the same studio and it was nothing serious. Recording with Rita is not worse than working with Bria Valente on an entire album though ..

Rita Ora Says New Album Is Almost Done (Thanks To A Little Help From Her Friends)

Rita has brought in boyfriend Calvin Harris to work on the album, as well as Gwen Stefani and Prince!

Rita Ora is set to release her sophomore album sooner than you might have expected, as the singer recently told The Mirror her still-untitled second LP is just about done. Want to thank someone for getting the album up and running so soon? how about the artist formerly and currently known as Prince!

Rita has some big names lined up for the new release

The Purple One has contributed to at least one of the tracks on the follow-up to 2012 No. 1 albumOra, although she remained coy over just how much they have worked on together. She told the paper, "I have met him and I have had the honour of being in the same studio as him. We messed around with some music and you know, I can't believe he can play so many instruments. All I can say is that we've definitely done some music together."

Prince isn't the only superstar to give the Serbia-born singer a helping hand on the upcoming release, as her current beau and producer extraordinaire Calvin Harris has also helped out on some of the tracks and No Doubt's very own Gwen Stefani has lent her voice to at least one song too. We can get any more specific than that though, because that's all Rita had to say.

She did mention in her discussion with the British paper that some of her songs will be a little more "revealing" and personal than her last, adding that the sound will be shamelessly pop-tastic. She continued, "I love pop music and I'm a pop singer, so it's just pop music with a lot more honesty in it. There are a lot of revealing lyrics in there."

The singer, who will also be filming scenes for the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey adaptation soon, wouldn't give a specific date as to when she'll be releasing her second full-length effort, but judging by her word, we should see it in early 2014.

Another artist CHRISTENED by Prince!! Now since she has been dipped in the "purple pool". In the next 3 years. She will win either an Emmy or an Oscar. The stars will collide 4 her 4ever & ever..
