I've searched all over the Kobalt music website and prince is not on it anywhere except in the news section about the press-release that he had signed with kobalt. He's not even listed on the roster.

I've noticed that Prince signed with Kobalt on may 31 2013 and there is nothing on that site about a release date, progress on recording or single titles. Nothing.

I've noticed that Boy George signed with Kobalt on Aug 2013 and released a album on Oct 2013. It's time for Prince to shit.

Trying to please his fans? Are you serious? He is not trying to please ANYONE, let alone the people who are still here, still buy his crap, and still go to great lengths, and expense, to go see him live whenever and wherever they can.

If I look back in all honesty to the albums last 15 or 20 years he'd probably just get off that toilet. I've tried to like all of them, but these albums are all flawed for a variety of reasons.

Some of them have poor production, others are too derivative of his own style without bringing in new elements, or are derivative of the style of other artists. Lots of them have poor songwriting, and even poorer lyrics. The best thing he has done was TRC in my opinion, that's the only one that came close to his 80's glory. Its the one album where it is clear that he put in a lot of effort and where he sounded like he wasn't compromising himself in the hope of a "hit". All the other albums sounded either forced or boring, with maybe one or two songs that were OK or good.

Even the best of the 2013 downloads are just "OK" songs, somewhat fun to listen to for a few times but they don't really add something new or exciting to his catalogue. And taken away from the context of an album you get bored extra quick with them, cuz you tend to play the song over and over until it is played "dead".

I believe that only working with a good producer could result in an interesting new Prince album, all Prince can do himself these days seemingly is deliver weaker "copies" of songs he has already released before.

Well why are you people here? If you are that unhappy with him leave. There are plenty of other artists that apparently are better than Prince since it seems people on here hate him so much. I think he has done alot in 2013 and I am very thankful to him. We got over an albums worth of songs, many video downloads and freebies and he did a few shows here and there which he does not have to do at this point. And he still has a cd coming out very soon in early 2014. I can't think of another artist that is giving us essentially 2+ albums in a little over a year once the new cd drops. I just don't get why people on this website are so angry and negative towards Prince. Why do you still follow him if he makes you so unhappy?

It boggles my mind how some of you fans act so entitled. Prince doesn't owe us squat. He can do what he wants. If you're so hell bent on hearing good music, go make some of your own. Otherwise, you'll have to live with the fact that he'll shit when he's damn good and ready. But then that wont be enough, because for some whiney assed fans, he's got to shit a golden egg.

Yeah he was definitely taken advantage of by the JW's and Larry and supposedly his manager. Wasnt it rumored she stole from him? For someone who used to sing about being "free" its maddening to see someone so talented restrain themselves artistically like prince has.
