Some things you just can't forget when you see them, no matter how hard you try.

That is some seriously bad art work for both the cover and the inside pages.

The shops in my town aren't carrying this. A couple offered to order it for me, but, I can do that myself.

Just ordered it from Comic Flea Market, both covers, the exclusive seen here and the regular cover with different artwork which has the Purple Rain era look.

Prince: The Latest Icon Memorialized in Comic Book Form

*Prince in comic book form – now that is something to look forward to.

The Purple One is the newest icon to be celebrated in animation by Bluewater Productions, one of the top independent production studios of comic books, young adult books and graphic novels. The new comic book, chronicling the life of the music icon, is titled: Fame Prince and will be released this week and available in print and digital.

“Writing Fame: Prince was like reliving my teenage years. For me, the music scene wasn’t defined by Michael Jackson, despite his success with Thriller. The 80’s, and music in general for me, were defined by Prince,” says writer Michael Frizell. “He takes chances in his music, doesn’t sell out as an artist in order to make money, and still ends up on top. To this day, his music speaks to me. I hope I was able to bring some of his power to the comic page through my script.”

Frizell writes the 32-page comic book with art by Ernesto Lovera. The comic book will feature two collectible covers by famed artist Iordan Terziiski and Ernesto Lovera. In the past Bluewater has created comic books featuring Madonna, Michael Jackson, Drake, 50 Cent, Beyonce, Adele, Cher and more. They will also pen upcoming biography comic books on Sharon Osbourne and Johnny Depp.

I believe bluewater has a license to reprint the Revolutionary Comics line, which includes the "Rock N Roll Comics" series. in 1990, Revolutionary published a Prince bio comic that was awesome, they should reprint that. Granted, it's 20 years out of date, but it's better than what I've seen of this new one.

I'm wondering if he has something to do with it. I know it doesn't seem likely, and I'm not saying I'm convinced... I'm wondering.

Consider:

-I checked to see what other celebrities have been featured in Blue Water Comics' Fame line and ALL of them were currently popular... except Prince. Surely the whole Breakfast Can Wait thing wasn't enough to bump him up to the main stream.

-In 1990 & 1991 he worked out the deal with DC' Pirannha Press (via WB) for the Alter Ego & 3 Chains O' Gold comics. They were officially authorized.

Okay. Just read the thing. No way did Prince have anything at all to do with this. At least I hope not. It's so bad it's hilarious.

It's only value is to add to the collection with the other three and comedy. Comedy gold.

It only goes up to the 90's, hope there's not a sequel...
