I never knew such a place existed. I was always the type that stayed away from bootlegs because I knew that Prince disapproved of them (at least publicly). But that changed in 2005 when a kind soul sent me 5 CD-Rs of gems, and my mind was blown! headbang

OMG - The Royal Hub was THE Online place to be and be seen! I also spent hours and hours on it downloading and chatting! Unfortunately all the many boots I collected there were on an external drive that died sad

Loved it. Long version of Data Bank was on there with a random cut off basically that was not faded out like other boots have it. never heard it again.

Also finally heard I Don't Wanna Stop for the first time on there

No...

This is different from say 20 years ago (or more).

Leaks, back then, were mostly real leaks. Not songs published via various channels looking more or less 'official'.

I loved the hub it was a great friendly community and a great source for goodies.

Lost count of how many pm's I sent to people here at the org and @ HQ telling them to shut the fk up! after they would periodically wrtie about it on a public forums. lol

After it was requested to close or else, from the purple police! stickpoke I kept in contact with a few of the people who know who they are by email for a while,

but alas nowadays the hub is no longer required for live shows, the various sources and formats are vast throughout the net.

.

Here are pics of some hubbers and other random hub stuff.

.....and No the IP is no longer valid, and the hub doesn't exist.
