The reason why Prince has released so many crappy weak songs in 2013 is this.. Prince is trying to lower our expectations to.. the 4thcoming stunning new Prince album in early 2014.

This makes sense to me, what about U..


And this new album will be available in all "4mats", just like he / Prince said so himself, right.... in the Twitter interview..

Now bring it on, 2014.... I can't wait. It's gonna be exciting (I hope).......

I don"t think the 2013 songs are totally crappy (well, some have been: LOL springs to mind...), but they are just fairly average. Nevertheless I have to say I like your theory, and I would love to be surprised with a great new Prince album!

I think his next album will be great. It would pretty much have to be. 3rdEyeGirl has more potential than any band Prince has had since the original NPG. The only way he can go wrong is if the lyrics and vocals are bad. He needs to hire someone as a vocal producer, just to be sure he gets those parts right. If you think about it, lyrics and vocals are the only things Prince ever gets wrong in his music.

It's been pretty much forever since Prince delivered a great funk album. He has been better with rock albums like The Truth and Chaos And Disorder. 3rdEyeGirl could work if it's a straight rock album.

I don't see wat u guys are seeing. I think Fixurlifeup, breakfast, and boyfriend was alright. Sure RRNR Sucked and so did ain't gonna miss u wen ur gone. But Groovey potential was fucking great. Also the new extraloveable is the best.

SUre it wasn't his best year but better than like an mpls.

With boot sources drying up and apparently no new P solo album my enthusiasm is waning...

Calm down guys. The guy has given us so freakin much already. be gratefull. Zeppelin gave us like 10 albums, mj like 5 , there are many other bands who haven't come close to Prince's 30-40 albums so can we just be gratefull we have so much too listen 2 LOL. U guys are acting like nothing happened in 2013. He released a few songs, made some appereances, Did a freakin tour, RELAX

Prince got a constant urge to put out music as we all know. It has nothing to do with lowering expectations
