so the new album is coming early 2014...a very long gap for prince of 3 and a half years since 20ten...and that wasnt even released in the usa officially ...as i predicted a few months ago..the album will be all new material apart from fixurlifeup...which i hope is is a good sign...most of the songs he has released in 2013 sound like throwaways...lets hope the new album is a cut above what he has released online this year...i think it will be...

i think the new album will include "the breakdown" and more songs of that standard will mean a decent release from prince....as always..looking forward to hearing it...its been a while

I see the twitter account now says "Astral travelling until: 1/7/14". A release date, perhaps? It is a Tuesday.

if it's back to the second original plan, it will be a 3EG feat Prince project where

prince is on vocals for only 2 of the songs.

but who knows, the project seems to have gone through more changes than an

early 90s warners fued fueled project, being first a prince album, then an album

full of instrumentals, then a 3EG feat prince album, then part of a 2 album set

together with an NPG album and now it seems to be back to just being the least

interesting of all: a 3rd eye girl feat. prince project.

That's why I don't have any high expectations of this new album cuz it could end up as a huge disappointment especially since we've been waiting over 3 years 4 a new album but we'll see when it's released what kind of album it is. Hopefully it's a 2CD set with the 3rdeyegirl album and a Prince album

The fact that "LOL" isn't on the album leads me to believe that the idea of Hannah singing lead has come and gone. I suspect/am hoping that Prince will be the lead on thiss record, even if the artist credit is 3rdEyeGirl.

These past 3 years and a half, Prince has been focusing on helping/mentoring new artists like Andy Allo, and Janelle Monae. (I was very touched by the thank you note that Janelle wrote to him in her The Electric Lady album) It seems to me that this is important to him. I think this is really sweet of him. Maybe, early 2014 is a tentative date. Hopefully, he won't rush it in an effort to please people. I'd say to him to take as much time as necessary to release a great album.
