Oh snap - sorry! I misread the title. I thought you were talking about the Rave track Eye Love U, But Eye Don't Trust U Anymore.

Having said that, I went back and listened the the track you're discussing. I like the piano work and the vocals. Sorta reminds me of a soundtrack song (which is was planned for) - but from the 70s, not the 90s. I really like this kinda stuff from Prince - simple ballads with stripped arrangements and heartfelt delivery. A lot of his latest ballads, I don't "feel" that they're sincere, you know?

I'm a fan of almost all of the I'll Do Anything stuff . . . but after a lot of soundtrack appearances in that era (Showgirls, Blankman, Ready To Wear), I'm glad Prince didn't go into "Kenny Loggins" territory and be labeled a soundtrack artist.
