Now, I know there has been recent debate regarding Prince's place amongst the very best guitarists of our time.

Now, this topic can be thrown around all day, but how would you rate Prince's playing in terms of how it has been used to define new styles or improving on existing ones??

As an example, we all know he has mastered so many different genres, but compared to other guitar players, how has he been exciting or different??

Now for the original question...
I don't know in which way Prince has improved anything or invented, guitar-wise. Propably nothing. He's just playing.
There are really only a very few people who have actually changed the way people play guitar.

And also, Prince has always been more than guitar. That makes him interesting, I think.
