ESTAIRE GODINEZ will be a live guest on my show this Monday 4-8pm EST on "The Upper Room with Joe Kelley". This talented percussionist-singer has a new live CD out and performed last night (3/14) at the Artists' Quarter in Downtown St. Paul, Minnesota.

Prince was there checking out her band in concert and John Blackwell guested on drums. Estaire's band also features Stokeley Williams from Mint Condition on drums, Eric Leeds on saxophone, Peter Schimke on piano/keys, Mike Scott on guitar, and Serge Akou on bass.

Prince was at the Lakers game that night. Did he show up late or something?

I had a friend who went last night, and she said it was xtraordinary.

Any project with Mike Scott is something I need to check out. Easily the most under-rated musician Prince ever played with.
