I went to one of these near San Diego. It was pretty cool, and they even gave away the album to everyone for free.

Ours had a technical snafu during the piano ballad medley, but otherwise great.

Prince probably wasn't the first, since in effect it's a simulcast like most OnDemand events.

Hell, during NHL playoffs, our home ice arena (Detroit Red Wings) is full when they broadcast away games. Same thing.

I was also at that show in SanDiego area. Our theatre auditorium was the only one affected by the technical difficulties, as alot of us wandered into one of the other screens and they were fine.

I must have been in the same theatre as you Se7en.

I thought that concert was okay and the tour improved overtime.

Loved it! Cleveland had one theater with 4-6 simultaneous showing and it was sold out several days before the screening. People were asking for extra tickets to be made available days before the live concert from California. It was during a very painful time in my life...my wonderful husband had unexpectedly died and I began "the Musicology Healing Tour" through several states with and without friends and family, it was such a blessing in my healing. My beloved husband died that Saturday and my brother called me and told me Prince would be on the Grammys Sunday...LOL...I don't remember anything else on the show just Prince and Beyonce. I will always have loving memories of that tour and that time started my restoration. About 10-15 family and friends attended the Musicology opening night screening and I met great fans from all around the state. Loved It!

Was it good 4 U?
Was I what U wanted me 2 B?

If it's not alright...it will B

If I'm not mistaken, I remember reading at the time of the Musicology LA Simulcast that Sheryl Crow was the first person to do this, or at least one of the first,a year or two before Prince did it. I could be wrong though.

I found this article on Prince's simulcast. According to this article

http://articles.baltimore...es-beloved

Sheryl Crow, Linkin Park, Gloria Estefan, Kiss, and Tom Petty had all done it before Prince.

I saw it in Mpls. Great idea ! The sound was ok at first, then fixed by the theater. He doesn't like to repeat himself, but this is one idea he should. Nice way for fans who can't afford concert tickets to see him live, etc.

to me it felt like nobody else had ever done it

was pretty exciting

fun to see the camera guys spotting celebrities trying to find their seats before the show

(Eddie Murphy, Paul Stanley & Stevie Nicks to name a few)
