BURNING SONGS ON CD I tried to burn the songs we got through 3rdeye girl (website and youtube account) and I had problems with the songs "something in the water" and "octopus garden". it seems to be impossible to burn those on CD. Are they protected in any way ?

All of the files put up for official sale (3EG, iTunes, Amazon) are all burnable. No DRM. They're various MP3, WAV, and AAC files. . I'd take a look at any of the "free" songs you're trying to burn (SoundCloud, YouTube, LiveStream, etc). My guess is one of those formats is giving you trouble.

What's a CD? [Edited 11/7/13 7:02am] "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.
RIAA 'nuff said. | |

I think the bitrate on those particular files is larger than what a cd can handle. I think you need to convert those wave files into standard wave files to burn them.

I had to first convert Octopus Heart and Menstrual Cycle to wav (the same way I convert flac to wav) before I could burn a CD even though they were downloaded from Soundcloud in wav.... Hmmm...don't understand it, but when I converted them I could burn a CD. Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths...(Jeremiah 6:16) www.ancientfaithradio.com

The wav files for Octopus Heart, Menstrual Cycle, and Something in the water are 24 bit. They would need to be converted to 16 bit to burn to a CD.

The official stuff as WAV maxes out at 1411kbps. It must be the other files, although I highly doubt anything you grabbed off YouTube or SoundCloud is high-definition audio. Most likely it's a format issue.
