Prince on TFI Nobody ever mentions the performance prince did of 'Baby Knows' on TFI Friday, back when he was promoting 'Rave'.
Since we're abit low on news at the moment i though i'd bring it up. It was damn funky. He was dressed all in black, with black sunglasses, and gold earings. He fucked up the lyrics during that bit when he's going through the different kinda ladies. You see the recognition on his face that he fucked up, and he goes "oh.." He goes on to do a real "show off" guitar solo at the end! He really looks like he's enjoying himself. "London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"
"YEAH!!!" "Yeah, well then fuck those other fools!"

i was gutted!!! Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

and then the next day i went 2 newcastle 4 the recording of the tube apocalypse and bumped in2 prince backstage and spoke 2 him. then spoke 2 him again when he was onstage, and then belive it or not ended up back at his hotel where i met robbie williams at the bar along with paul macartneys band sitting across from us, and i later shook hands with macca himself and met beverley knight and skunk anansie and a bunch of other cool ppl, that was an unbelievable experience geez uni, where haven't u met the brotha?

He's such a jerk when it comes to promotion - this is EXACTLY why he needs management.
What was the point in performing Baby Knows on TFI and TOTP when it wasn't a single? Non-fans weren't gonna rush out and buy the album, but they might have bought the single - I still get people asking what that "great song Prince did a few years ago" was. Baby Knows was the OBVIOUS single on an otherwise dire, dire album. --------------------

They ressurected The Tube the same year with Chris Moyles presenting and he did Baby Knows on that show too.

I heard Robbie was being an utter asshole and demanding more rehearsal time than Prince who he considered to be a has-been. Or somethin' like dat? ----------

I read or heard it was at the TOTP studios and Prince wanted Robbie Williams to leave the green room or his dressing room so that he could have more room. Robbie then went on stage and said "Someone's going to get a kicking like it's 1999." I don't really like to spread gossip though.

I hate it when he wears sunglasses on TV. I want to see his eyes. maybe I need to get it into more perspective
