fook me...never known such a long break between official album releases....what are we looking at now ?...well over 3 years since "20ten" was released and remember that was only released in certain countries..his previous album "lotusflower" was only released in a few countries as well and his website...so you need to go back to "3121" in early 2006 for his last proper worldwide album release.....7 and a half years ago ??...so much for warners holding back his music output..

.i know some fans are not that bothered with him releasing new music as they think he has lost his touch but not me...being a prince fan over the last few decades has always meant a regular dose of new music but it has definately dried up in the last decade or so...i dont think he is recording less than he used to...i dont believe prince is able to stop writing and recording music...its in his blood...but he certainly aint releasing much anymore for whatever reason..

the odd few tracks released online doesnt count for me...i want a proper album release...on cd and vinyl and hopefully we wont need to wait much longer for it....come on wee man...thats long enough..

Only joking... I mean, at least partially. I've listened to so much wonderful music this year that I could happily live without a Prince album. Having said that, I'd be very happy if he released it, even happier if it were a very good album, and of course, like you, if he released it on CD and vinyl...

i agree about the new prefab sprout album...it is the best album i have heard in a long long time...from a guy who is half blind and cant hear properly anymore...amazing....still doesnt stop me from yearning for a new proper prince album.....and superconductor doesnt count imo.

u do realize he wrote the superconductor album....he only takes credit for 3 tracks

i thought he probably did write the whole lot....as he usually does...they are always interesting to listen to..but his protege albums dont count as new prince albums for me...as the time albums didnt in the 80s..

Yes, Superconductor doesn't count, I agree, but to find a Prince album as good as it, I'd have to go back to The Rainbow Children. I love Andy Allo's album, but yes, it'd be great if Prince released something amazing that surprised us all.
