Kirky J's Get Wild vs Kirky J's B Sides Remix

Yes, I know, I know, but this is - in fact - a part of Prince's discography. So, which of these Kirky J's remixes do you prefer? Also, what is your favourite Kirky J production - I believe he was all over Emancipation, and possibly Newpower Soul, too, so there are quite a few gems to choose from...

Kirky's Alphabet St. remix just came on Orange Park and it occurred to me that I'd never heard it before. Some new vocals on it and everything! I kinda like it. boxed

smile Dare I ask, but where can I find Kirky's Alphabet St Remix on the official discography/which bootleg? You must be thinking, first Tony M, then Kirky J...don't worry, T. C. Ellis is next.

i think it's a nice change of scenery to talk about these kind of songs.

we always have the same threads about the same topics or songs so

i think spiritotter is doing a good thing biggrin

.

i never cared too much for those kirky j remixes although i did listen

to them all the time back in the day, especially those on the ultimate

mix single. because back then, we really didn't have that much of a

choice did we, lol. it was new prince output so you dug it, regardless.

.

for all the flack the man gets i do think that looking back now after

all this time, there are a lot of redeeming qualities in the production

of emancipation once you get over the initial let down of it not being

anywhere close to the full band extravaganze that we were probably

all expecting after Gold/Come etc and prince claiming he was hoarding

his best material for when he was free.

.

listening to the album now, without those expectations and after having

finally let go of the resentment (it only took me 15 years, lol) i enjoy it

for what it is and the sound of it is quite unique in his catalogue.

and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I'm going to scour my hard drives to find it. I assume it's circulating, but maybe it's not. There are things that pop up on Orange Park all of the time that I don't recognize and wonder whether or not they're circulating.

I dont like the Emancipation sound generally but I like the Come On Remix he did, I guess it was him as it says KAJ productions at the beginning
