1000 Hugs & Kisses, yea or nay! Sure, it's a trifle and not very great, but it's quite fun and romantic. I like it.

Yay, should have been released. I am always amazed how much he doesn't release, the sheer volume seems endless. Most anyone else who wrote such a song would be proud to put this out there. A 1,000 Licks and Melodies "So fierce U look 2night, the brightest star pales 2 Ur sex..."

Yay.
Not really the type of music I want from Prince, but it works well. I remember this track was played to journalists when he played stuff from the Emancipation album before its release (along with "She Gave Her Angels"). It might be that it was included on an early configuration of the album, or that he just played them some outtakes as well.

One of my favorite outtakes. Absolutely love this song. It´s airy, breezy, romantic, has a nice melody and lyrics that are easy to relate to. One of his underrated gems.
I also like the other songs he worked on with Nona Gaye, especially "Snowman" because the lyrics reflect Marvin Gaye´s brief stay in Belgium written from his daughter´s view. As a Marvin Gaye fan and reader of Dave Ritz´s biography on Marvin, I think Prince came up with some pretty deep lyrics for Nona when he (or they?) wrote Snowman. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I've always liked it. Am I the only one who was reminded of it by "Groovy Potential"? Listen to me on The House of Pop Culture podcast on itunes http://itunes.apple.com/u...d438631917

npgmaverick said: I've always liked it. Am I the only one who was reminded of it by "Groovy Potential"? Now that you mention it, there is a slight similarity (wrong word) in mood and perhaps instrumentation. They songs aren't exactly similar -- it's more like they would fit well together on the same album. "Love & honesty, peace & harmony"
