Does Prince understand YouTube?

Nice to see Prince tweeting these days. Many of his tweets are YouTube videos of his favourite songs or performances that he'd like to share with us. To show us new music that we might not have seen, great live performances.

I tweet. I want to share Prince videos and performances... new & old, tv appearances, live tracks. To show my friends how truly amazing he is.

But he doesn't allow that.

Ah Prince, would you go to U2's website and bring a notebook? Thanks.

i hope P understands where tech is going.

hope knows about the new tec. Chromecast which essential will stream content straigh to tv. for $35 peeple loving it cuz it turns tablets into a remote and its simply/easy to use. plug n play and streaming youtube/netflix. i have other devices do same but Chromecast i love cuz so easy to use. can be on a tablet watch youtube an press button and it automatically turns on telly and streams directly to tv in hd quality.

anyone in future could turn youtube into a hd tv channel w chromecast and i expect some things will be subscription.

Roku3 as well.

i hope he thinking where all this going.

What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?

His issue with YT is that they don't pay money 4 the music.

Well, they didn't.

Now they pay royalties thru the use of ads on artists' official channels and even for fans uploaded videos, if the artist asks for it, fans get a warning that the video belongs to someone else and that this someone else requires ads to be featured on the video, and the user has a choice to maintain or cancel his upload.

So we know P doesn't like boots but I don't understand what prevents Prince from AT LEAST uploading all his official videos (incl. side projects) on an official channel and get the cash from ads. That's what happens when MTV or VH1 plays him he gets cash from the ads, and he never complained about THAT.

That would allow him to get some cash and much more online visibility.

That would allow us to have all the vids in HD and share' em with our friends.

And that would put an end to a ridiculous situation since all his vids ARE online anyway, on ther websites, but often in a poor quality since they're from old fans recordings.

A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

You've seen him interviewed. There is very little Prince understands. He's quite a himbo.

Then he understands youtube. But you don't understand why he opposes it.

It seems like Prince understands whatever his handlers tell him. Sometimes the stuff from the new handlers conflicts with old stuff.

That's probably how we have the current 3rdEye goodies while he's still so strict with his back material and his personal brand.

tonight the stars are out
there's music in the air
the sounds of joy and celebration
are drowning out despair
