[What If] The Current NPG Band playing songs from "For You" and "Prince" albums

With Prince's 11 piece horn section and Andrew Gouche on bass, this band could, this band could tackle Prince's first two albums. I would love to see Prince eschew the funk covers of other artists and tackle his '70s catalog and go from there. Prince hasn't played a lot of these songs in decades, and he could bring welcome attention to this part of his career if he played these songs regularly.

This interchangeable, stale band playing largely inessential material is not my idea of a good show.

These City Winery shows and club size venues are perfect to play his 70s funk jams. Half the time, they're playing covers by artists from the 70s anyway, why not play 2 or 3 tunes from For You and Prince anyway. Songs from the first two albums may be "largely inessential" to casual Purple Rain loving fans, but those albums are still important in his catalogue.

I'd love to hear the funk jams! Yessir! headbang music

Why not? He does When We're Dancing Close And Slow, (and Bambi) with 3EG. Since he's going that far back, hit up some of these other cuts.
