The Last December is a POWERFUL ballad

this song will really stir emotions and the lyrics are extremely poetic.

I agree with you...this song is terrific and when listening to it with mi madre, we always play it back (especially just the instrumental part when he takes you through different types of music styles) @ least 4 times...:worshiP: this song. One of his best!

Yup.
If your last December came what would you do?
Would anybody remember to remember you?
Did you stand tall? or did you fall? Did you give your all?

It is said somewhere that we have an exraodinary love inside of us, if we share it and let is out it will free us.
And if we keep it inside, it will distroy us.
(I'm paraphrasing)

It's nice enough, but it's a typical end of album theologicial OTT guitar ballad for Prince - See also Purple Rain, The Cross, The Ladder, The Gold Experience, Wherever whatever..., et all.

I was pleased with PR, I was pleased with Free - I didn't need a carbon copy of it on every LP.

the lyrics are cool when read, but doesn't anyone else find the song alittle corny?

I'd listan to it by myself, but wouldn't want anyone to catch me listening to it

The Last December is pure God TV. Picture 50 toothless kids singing and swaying from side to side with Prince urging them on. That's the image i see when i play The Last December. It's message is too overt and i find it hard to listen to. Sorry but it embarrasses me.
