I seen Prince & Larry G at the Cabooze Bar checkin' out the Greazy Meal gig Friday night! I got to shake his hand and tell him "I love you." He gave me a big smile and said "Thank you." This was the first time I had got to say anything or even touch him. It was too cool!! Made my night!!

A friend of mine who used to love Prince spoke to him once and he ignored her, walked away as if she was nothing.

She was deeply hurt by the snub because she had recently had a death in her family and was depressed. My friend went to see Prince because she really did love him and thought seeing him and hearing his music would help her spirits. She had collected Prince memoriabilia for years, waited a long time to meet and speak with him. She spoke to him at one of the soundchecks and he ignored her.

Whenever I talk to her about Prince now it's not the same. I can tell that the love she had for him is gone.

I was scared. Then I thought wtf and took a shot. I guess he was in the right mood. I'm happy I didnt get snubbed.

I know his fame is old hat by now but I imagine it's still odd to have people around the world (that he's never met) who genuinely feel love for him. It's trippy, that would bug me out!

No, not at all...I think it was rather sweet.
Prince has a wonderful sense of humor, and is very polite.
He is moody at times, and can be arrogant at times as well,
but he is entiled to those moments just like all of us.
With Larry by his side makes him most humble...it was the perfect opportunity, and she took it.

No, he's not entitled to those moments. He's a public figure and whenever he's out in public he should have his game face on, prepared to be polite or at civil to his adoring public. A truly humble man would never be moody or arrogant to the people who love him and made it possible for him to live the life of a king. Larry still has a lot of work to do as far as teaching Prince.

I have seen him up close also, I wouldn't call it a meeting really but he was still really shy and anti social then, it was in 1986. He did smile and say hi to me in response to my idiotic hi and silly ass grin.
