Hee-hee, popbitch is full of shit.

They used to be quite on the ball a few years ago, but they're a bit of a cliche now everyone knows about them.

Popbitch either mean the 2003 festival or are just wrong! Beleive me, the organisers do not consult with artists this far in advance - they will see how this year's festival goes before deciding whether to hold one in 2004. Sometimes, Eavis decides to leave it a year to let his farmland "recover". But, there is no way that they are considering what to do for 2004, especially without getting 2003 out of the way first!

Sorry that this may be true!

Reported on Channel 4 this morning it said Dolly Parton was to be billed for Sunday afternoon. He may play the night still but not looking likely!

Dolly Parton? Aaarghhh!

Yup - DOlly Parton looks very likely to play the afternoon. Someone had suggested she would be headlining, but there is just no way!! She is not show closing material and does not have the same sort of wide appeal that other closing artists have had! (Rod Stewart, David Bowie etc)

Marrk - hmmm, not sure what you're implying there?! I don't much care for record sales, they are no real indicator as to how good someone is, just what the public is buying.

That said, if these figures do mean anything, I still doubt Parton has outsold Prince in any year!!! I don't know what the figures were last year, but in total sales, Prince is at number 33 in the all-time top selling artists with 36.5 million albums confirmed sold as at the end of 2001. Dolly does not even appear in the top 100, and no 100 sold 20million albums. If she's more that 16 million albums behind in sales, I doubt that she has ever outsold Prince.
