Something happening in New York soon?

...and I don't mean the Shelby thing...

I ask because the station that we listen to at work (an easy listening type station) has been playing ALOT of Prince lately.

Yesterday in fact, I sat down at my desk in the AM and the first song I hear start playing is "The Glamorous Life" (Prince-related, whatever)...then in the course of the day, they play Prince another three times. (The DJ even announced him once or twice before playing the song)

Now...usually I hear a Prince song ONCE every three WEEKS on that station.

Right now I'm listening to "Kiss"...after hearing "Let's Go Crazy" earlier...and it's not even lunchtime.

Just reminds me of the "good old days" when any pending Prince release or appearance would send the radio stations into a Prince Music Frenzy.

shrug

So...either an Orger has been hired at the station lol or something is brewing.

XM was playing a crap ton of Prince on "80s on 8" and "The Groove" the last couple weeks, too. (They seem to be back to normal this week.)

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

In Holland Prince gets played even on the mainstream radio. So, I can't tell if it's a sign.

I do hope so for you.

I wish you the same purple happiness I'm feeling right now.

Would be so wonderful if you could experience a similar gig too hug

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Lunchtime is almost here, and only 1 song so far ("When Doves Cry" @ 10:26am - yes, I'm keeping track now).

pout ...maybe it was a passing thing.
