How do you think she compares to Prince? I don't think it is far to compare those two. Donna seems to be new and having a lot of focus on performance and style with a tad overdoing it (arcing many times her back in solos).Without all extraas she does very well. More trust in play and let effort in grandness will balance it out nicely.

Just seconds after I downloaded all 3 of them they disappeared. And THAT's exactly why I download all of the official streams. Prince is a very complicated person.

He used to care quite a bit about something, botching and delaying stuff in the process.

Bandwidth/traffic for video is much higher so the ratio 7.77 to 10 seems off.
Audio Will be interesting at 44khz soundboard but not the 16k wav. 7.77 would be a Nice prince them or per song.
Smukfest is much langer so per song ratio is also possible. Or 110 minutes is 8.88 where 90 min is 7.77 or something like that.

I was wondering the Same Thing. Maybe as a nod to the European fanbase and draw them more in to the sales on the us site.

If you could buy every show as a video for 10 $ in decent quality, a lot of the older fans wouldn't move their ass to the concerts anymore. But that's where prince makes the big money. And now you know why prince is so protective with his live material.

Prince could learn a lot from Depeche Mode, about selling and distributing:

I think DM made all their shows available as downloads, on their previous tour.. via their official homepage.

^ ps. So I have heard, I could be wrong though, I only have the DM studio albums, not any live recordings.

I don't belief that.

Going to a live show and listening or watching it on screen, are distinct categories.

I mean, nothing can replace the experience of a life show.

And, what about his young fans?

I stood next to a girl of 24. Somebody took her to his stadium concert in Geldredome in 2011. Since she is a fan. She told be she bought all his cd's and follows his recent releases.

And next to her was another guy in his mid twenties. Also a huge fan.

These guys came on their own, stood in front of the stage, between us 'oldies' and rocked with us.

I think Prince does not just us oldies (allthough, I'm not 40 yet, so I'm officially not old).

And people go to his show if he's in their town. I mean, he sold out Paradiso 2x in less than a minute. So, if he releases material of his life shows, there might be a few couchpotatoes and he will sell 2 concerts in 30 minutes.

I mean, I really don't think it would make a difference in audiance numbers at live shows.
