Jimmy Fallon threw down a challenge to Prince and we have learned Prince has accepted. Fallon revealed in an interview with Kristin Scott Thomas that the last time Prince was on "Late Night" they were to play ping pong but it never happened.
Both Prince and Jimmy Fallon have their people talking and the ping pong match WILL take place at an undisclosed location sometime VERY soon and the results will hit the Internet instantly after the contest. For news on his upcoming ...k here.... Prince & 3rdEyeGirl will be heading over to Stockholm, Sweden to perform at the Stockholm Music & Arts Festival. For those attending, check out the NEW merch items! They are supposed to be: EVERYTHING! Let us know what you think and if there is anything special you would like to see for sale. Prince & 3rdEyeGirl have been recording with JoshuaWorld and have 2 NEW songs that will probably be featured in upcoming concerts: 1 is entitled "FUNKNROLL!" which sounds like the Chili Peppers meet Onyx. The other is a cover of one of Prince's favorite songs of the year, the Alice Smith joint "Another Love". The original reminded Prince of some of his 80's work with The Revolution. The revamped version goes slower and WAY harder with a revved-up ending in the vein of Fleetwood Mac. There is still NO release date or final song line-up for the Plectrum Electrum project. The list of song candidates change with every new joint recorded. Having the FREEDOM to try out new material on tens of thousands of ears before it's release is a luxury that is priceless. The women of 3rdEyeGirl are still talking about how the audience in Montreux shouted the hook to "FIXURLIFEUP" in unison. It is very encouraging for a new band who get better with every performance and also challenging for Prince whose new music has been in sequestration from the radio since the 90's. We think Prince likes the freedom that underground music allows. The 3rd show of Montreux, many have said was the best of the 3. It was a lot less structured and more spontaneous than the big band. We are curious and want to know what the Montreux concert-goers thought? Make sure to tune in to tonight's PRINCE spreecast with DrFunkenberry and <iframe id="spreecast-player" type="text/html" width="500" height="470" src="http://www.spreecast.com/events/prince-13-europe-bound-again/embed-medium" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Diagnosis: 2013 keeps on "FUNKNROLLIn" for Prince! 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

Okay, so Prince still wishes to churn out fast food (singles), but still no feast (album).
Absolutely fascinating (news).

Sounds to me like the singles we have heard will be on the Album but it appears he just has not decided which singles will be on it. I doubt he would mention the title of the album and just not put out anything as he does not have a history of annoucing albums and not putting out anything.
That stuff did not really start until Maxwell and D'Angelo.

He said he's not making albums anymore only jams. So why doesn't anyone believe him? If he contradicts himself on the topic though members of this site is the first to run and quote him word for word and throw it back at him? When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

He may have said that before he signed a recording contract with Kobalt.

He retired from recording after completing Around the World in a Day, didn't he? I wonder what he's been doing since...
There were some jams on that Controversy LP.
Actually, I don't remember when he first announced he was "done" with some basic aspect of having a musical career, whether it was the studio, playing live, record companies, contracts, "1999," all his other hits, singing, having a real name. It's just part of what he does. I generally ignore it.

Hah, yeah.

I think he had big plans for that album, and was crushed about a deal gone wrong. He therefore chopped it down and "gave it away".
He was sportin' the 20ten shirt for a minute there...
Speaking of which, I think he also killed an album project recently. The fiery graphics of the Vox guitar, the matching shirt, and the background of the 'Screwdriver' lyrics appeared to be an upcoming theme/project/album.
I'm guessing that 'Rock & Roll Love Affair', 'Screwdriver', and 'Big City' were all slated for that album project.

So there isn't any actual album update here then.

Prince is very athletic! Which shouldn't be a surprise. Since he use to jump off speakers, pianos & land in a split..... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

~G I think he will release 2 seperate albums or a double album. One with 3rdEyeGirls songs and the other one with RnR, screwdriver etc (the album u think he cancelled). It's cuz he made the deal with kobalt that makes me think he will goahead with this. But as usual with Prince everything can change at any moment Welcome 2 The Dawn

So was this big ping pong challenge thing filmed and will it be aired on the show?

Prince is the type of person who will say one thing today, then change his mind next week. You really can't take anything he says seriously, can you? In 1985,he announced that he wouldn't tour anymore.

Any artist would announce they not touring anymore! After doing 98 shows. Like he did on the Purple Rain tour! will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

My point is that everytime he contradicts himself then his words are recalled like courtroom testimony and reposted on this site. So either the ORG should overlook his flightiness or we're going to hold him to his words verbatim. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!
