nothing compares 2 u live video has anyone seen this video before? it was picked by a guest programmer on a music show here in australia couple weeks ago. its footage of live duet with rosie from the d&p tour with lots of snippets from previous music videos cutting in and out at different moments during the clip. a rarity...correct me if im wrong though | |

I remember seeing this playing in Brashes on thier in-store screens, Pitt St Sydney back in the day...remember that place anyone? That was when you could walk in and see the shelves lined with Sexy MF CD singles, D&P album covers and life size standees of Prince with Diamond & Pearl semingly dominating the store...ahh what a time. 1992 was simply massive for Prince here. But I digress...the video itself is nice and I enjoy seeing the live (rehearsal if memory serves?) D&P footage used. Still wishing for the D&P live video release that was supposed to be out for Chrissy that same year! | |

The weekend before was the director of The Sapphires, and he is a huge Prince fan, played quite a few Prince songs. The video is from the 1/27/92 performance at Paisley Park which is the same version from The Hits/The B-Sides. One of my favorite versions | |

Yep, the concert footage was filmed at a private show at Paisley Park. It was what would be a typical Diamonds and Pearls show. It was Superbowl weekend and the game was held in Minneapolis. There were a lot of sports figures and celebrities in attendance. I got lucky and got my invitation from a Glam Slam employee who couldn't go, because he had to work. TRUE BLUE |
